1. Remove four bolts (2) and two straps (3) that fasten drive shaft (1) to the transmission. 2. Remove four bolts (7) and two strips (6) that fasten drive shaft (9) to the rear differential.3. Remove the four bolts and two straps that fasten drive shaft (1) to yoke (4), and remove drive shaft (1).4. Remove two bolts (8), and remove bearing assembly (5) and drive shaft (9).5. Remove bolt (12) and washer (11), and remove yoke (4), spacer (10) and drive shaft (9) from bearing assembly (5). The following steps are for installation of the rear drive shaft.6. Install drive shaft (9), spacer (10) and yoke (4) in bearing assembly (5) and install washer (11) and bolt (12). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 135 15 N m (100 11 lbft).7. Position bearing assembly (5) and drive shaft (9), and install two bolts (8).8. Put drive shaft (1) in position on yoke (4), and install the two straps and four bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 60 7 N m (44 5 lbft).9. Put drive shaft (9) in position on the rear differential, and install two straps (6) and four bolts (7). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 60 7 N m (44 5 lbft).10. Put drive shaft (1) in position on the transmission, and install two straps (3) and four bolts (2).
