Introduction
The rear window defroster may cause the machine ECM to reset.Problem
Certain Small Wheel Loaders that are equipped with a rear window defroster may experience an ECM reset when the defroster is used.Solution

Remove the outer cover from the machine.
Locate the 262-1408 Machine ECM .

Remove the two bolts and the cover for the ECM.

Remove the J2 connector from the ECM.

Use the extraction tool in order to remove the A507-YL wire, from pin location 20 of connector J2.
Reinsert the A507-YL wire into pin location 13 of connector J2.After inserting the wire, verify that the pin is locked into the connector by gently pulling on the wire.
If pin 13 has a plug, remove the plug. Install the plug into the empty J2 connector location 20.
Flash new 287-8287 Software .A permanent solution is being investigated by engineering.Note: The ECM Reset issue has been addressed with the machines that have been reworked with the 287-1634 Flash file . No further work is necessary.
