Start By:a. remove flywheel 1. Use Tool (A) to remove the crankshaft rear seal. 2. Install Tool (C) in the rear seal bore.3. Install Tool (B) between Tool (C) and the wear sleeve. Turn Tool (B) until the edge of the tool makes a flat place (crease) in the wear sleeve. Do this in two or more places until the wear sleeve is loose.4. Remove Tool (C) and the wear sleeve by hand.Install Crankshaft Rear Seal & Wear Sleeve
The wear sleeve and seal must be installed at the same time. 1. Install the crankshaft rear seal and wear sleeve with Tool (A) as follows: a. Use 169-5464 Quick Cure Primer to clean the outside diameter of crankshaft (3) and the inside diameter of wear sleeve (1). b. Apply 4C-9507 Retaining Compound to the outside diameter of crankshaft (3). Apply 4C-9507 Retaining Compound to the inside diameter of wear sleeve (1).c. Put locator (2) in position crankshaft (3). Install the bolts (7) that hold the locator in position on the crankshaft. d. Install wear sleeve (1) and seal (6) on crankshaft (3). Put installer (4) on locator (2). e. Lubricate the face of nut (5). Install nut (5) on locator (4).f. Tighten nut (5) until installer (4) contacts locator (2).g. Remove Tool (A) or (B) and check the crankshaft seal and the wear sleeve for the correct installation.End By:a. install flywheel
