Now, the power train ECM will automatically shift the transmission. The transmission shift points will be based on the machine ground speed and the engine speed. The power train ECM does not allow upshifts to a gear that is higher than the gear that is selected with the auto/manual switch. There is no automatic downshift from gear 2 to gear 1. The downshift from gear 2 to gear 1 occurs only when the downshift switch is pressed and the machine and engine speed are low enough.Momentarily pressing the downshift switch signals the power train ECM to downshift the transmission by one gear. Pressing and holding the downshift switch signals the power train ECM to continue to downshift the transmission as the machine speed decreases. After the downshift switch is released, the power train ECM will wait for three seconds before resuming automatic shifting.
