Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the valve mechanism cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Disconnect harness assembly (4) from valve mechanism cover base (3) .
Disconnect harness assemblies (1) .
Remove bolts (2), valve mechanism cover base (3), and the gasket from the cylinder head.Installation Procedure

Position the gasket and valve mechanism cover base (3) on the cylinder head. Install bolts (2) and tighten bolts (2) in a numerical sequence to the standard torque.
Connect harness assemblies (1) .
Connect harness assembly (4) to valve mechanism cover base (3) .End By: Install the valve mechanism cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install".
