2. Disconnect tubes (3) and (4) at the elbow.3. Remove five bolts (2) that hold the oil filter base in position. Remove oil filter base (1) and the tubes as a unit. 4. Disconnect tube (5) from the water manifold and the transmission oil cooler. Remove the tube.5. Disconnect tube (6) and (7) from the bottom of the transmission oil cooler.6. Fasten a hoist to the transmission oil cooler.7. Remove four bolts (9) from the rear bonnet. 8. Remove bolts (8) from the front bonnet.9. Remove transmission oil cooler (10). Weight of the transmission oil cooler is 150 lb. (68 kg). 10. Remove bolts (11) that hold bonnet (12) to core assembly (13).11. Remove bolts (14) from pipe (15). Remove the pipe from the core assembly.12. Remove adapter (16) from the core assembly. Remove the seal from the adapter.Install Transmission Oil Cooler
1. Clean the tube bundles in core assembly (1) with a .172 in. (4.37 mm) diameter rod. 2. Install a new seal (5) in adapter (3). Put adapter (3) in position on core assembly (1).3. Put pipe (4) in position on the core assembly. Install the bolts that hold it.4. Put bonnet (2) on the core assembly. Install the bolts that hold it. 5. Fasten a hoist to transmission oil cooler (6). Put the transmission oil cooler in position on the two tubes and the front bonnet.7. Connect the rear bonnet of the transmission oil cooler to the cylinder block.8. Connect tubes (7) and (8) to the transmission oil cooler. 9. Connect tube (9) to the transmission oil cooler and the water manifold. 10. Put oil filter base (10) and the tubes in position on the pipe. Install the five bolts that hold it.11. Connect tubes (11) and (12) to the elbow.12.
