Description of Change: The new rotocoil has a more robust design than the former rotocoil.Adaptable To:

(1) Positive stops restrict inner body movement and reduce garter spring wear. (2) The new rotocoil features a machined outer housing. Flat surfaces reduce spring walking and increased material thickness greatly increases wear-through protection.The improved 416-6991 Rotocoil As is a direct replacement for the former 256-5984 Rotocoil As, which is canceled. Refer to Illustration 1 for rotocoil improvements.The new rotocoil is adaptable to C175 engines back to first production.The new rotocoil is effective with serial numbers that are listed in Table 1.
