Apply clean oil to O-ring seal (10) and install O-ring seal (10) on trunnion (8) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to trunnion (8) and position trunnion (8) . The weight of trunnion (8) is approximately 64 kg (140 lb).
Install bolts (9) . Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 210 40 N m (155 30 lb ft) plus an additional 120 deg 10 deg.

Attach a suitable lifting device to rear trunnion support (2) and position rear trunnion support (2) . The weight of rear trunnion support (2) is approximately 205 kg (450 lb).
Lubricate the seal and the sleeve bearing in rear trunnion support (2) with Tooling (C) .
Install rear trunnion support (2) .

Lubricate the faces of thrust bearing (7) with Tooling (C) .
Install thrust bearing (7) .

Install Tooling (B) . Install thrust plate (6) .

Install bolts (5) . Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 210 40 N m (155 30 lb ft) plus an additional 120 deg 10 deg. Remove Tooling (B) .

Install remaining bolts (5) . Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 210 40 N m (155 30 lb ft) plus an additional 120 deg 10 deg.
Lubricate the faces of thrust bearing (4) with Tooling (C) .
Install thrust bearing (4) .

Install Tooling (B) .
Apply Tooling (D) to the mating surfaces of rear trunnion support (2) and cover (3) .
Use two persons in order to install cover (3) . The weight of cover (3) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb).Note: Make sure that the relief fitting is positioned at the top of the rear trunnion support.

Install bolts (1) . Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 210 40 N m (155 30 lb ft) plus an additional 120 deg 10 deg. Remove Tooling (B) .

Install remaining bolts (1) to rear trunnion support (2) . Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 210 40 N m (155 30 lb ft) plus an additional 120 deg 10 deg.
Remove the rear axle assembly from Tooling (A) . The weight of the rear axle assembly is approximately 3856 kg (8501 lb).Note: After the rear axle assembly is installed on the machine, lubricate the axle oscillation bearings. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Axle Oscillation Bearings - Lubricate".End By: Install the rear axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oscillating Axle (Rear) - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
