Isolation
Weight Adjustment
Height Adjustment
Connection to the SeatIsolation and Weight Adjustment
Air bag (7) acts as a spring as the air is compressed due to the motion of inner scissor arm (6) relative to lower housing (9). The amount of air that is in the air bag is determined by the operator. (Refer to "Isolation and Weight Adjustment".) The pressure in the air bag is determined by the weight of the operator. This provides weight adjustment.Damping Adjustment

(11) Lever Damping is provided by lever (11). Pull UP on lever (11) in order to decrease the damping of the suspension. Push DOWN on the lever in order to increase the damping of the suspension.Note: The 192-7848 Shock Absorber Kit is available for operators over 136 kg (300 lb). This is a dual shock absorber kit that adds additional dampening.Ride Indicator
Ride indicator (10) must be aligned in the green zone when the machine is not running.Height Adjustment
Using the Air Valve Knob
The height of the seat is determined by the volume of air in air bag (7). To raise the suspension, the operator pushes in air valve knob (5) and air enters air bag (7). To lower the suspension, the operator pulls out air valve knob (5) and the air in air bag (7) is released.Note: The operator must not change the height of the suspension so that the stroke is inadequate for the particular application. The suspension height must be changed if the seat bottoms out excessively or if the seat bounces to the maximum height too much.Note: The air bag should only need to be filled once per shift. Check for leaks if the air bag deflates during one shift. When air valve knob (5) is pushed in, the air valve knob provides pressurized air to air bag (7).When air valve knob (5) is pulled out, the exhaust port from air bag (7) is opened.Connection to the Seat
Right slider track (1) and left slider track (3) connect the seat assembly to the suspension. Rack (2) provides the connection to the fore and aft adjuster on the seat. The suspension has four sliders. The sliders determine the effort that is required to move the seat. After the seat is installed, the sliders require adjustment. The sliders are adjusted from the side of the seat that faces the access door of the machine. Use the following procedures in order to adjust the sliders.

The two sliders (13) are located on each side of the suspension (12). The sliders that are located near the access door for the cab have adjustment screws (14).
Access holes are provided in the sides of the seat assembly. Move the seat until the access holes are in line with the sliders.
Tighten the adjustment screws in the sliders. Move the seat. A resistance of approximately
