Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the vibratory group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Vibratory Group - Remove".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Possible injury can result when removing the retaining ring and spring.Spring force will be released when the retaining ring is removed.Be prepared to hold the cylinder assembly as the retaining ring is removed.
Remove plugs (1) and (4) in order to drain the hydraulic fluid from the vibratory group. Drain the hydraulic fluid from the vibratory group into a suitable container for either storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Eccentric Weight Housing Oil - Change".
Remove bolts (11) and cover (10) .
Turn over cover (10) and remove shaft seal (9) .
Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (7). Remove retaining ring (7) from housing (2) .
Remove shaft (5) from housing (2) .
Use Tooling (B) in order to remove retaining rings (8) .
Use Tooling (C) and a suitable press to remove bearings (3) and (6) from each end of shaft (5) .Extender

Remove bolts (6) and cover (7) .
Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (8). Remove retaining ring (8) from housing (1) .
Remove shaft (3) from housing (1) .
Use Tooling (B) in order to remove retaining rings (9) .
Use a suitable press to remove bearings (5) and (10) from each end of shaft (3) .
