Remove Oil Pump (D333C Marine Engine)
start by: a) remove oil pan 1. Remove oil suction elbow (1).2. Remove suction screen mounting bolt (2).3. Remove mounting bolts (3) and remove the oil pump.Install Oil Pump (D333C Marine Engine)
1. Put the oil pump in position on the engine block and install the locks and mounting bolts.2. Install suction screen mounting bolt.3. Install oil pump tube elbow.end by: a) install oil panDisassemble Oil Pump (D330C, D333C Marine Engines)
start by: a) remove oil pump 1. Remove the oil pump idler gear (1). Remove the bearing (2) from idler gear with tooling (A).2. Remove the suction bell assembly (3).3. Remove nut, washer and cotter pin from the oil pump drive gear. Remove pump drive gear from shaft. Remove key from shaft. 4. Remove bypass valve cover plate (4), spring and plunger.5. Remove body assembly (5). 6. Remove the oil pump gears (6).7. Remove the plate (7).8. Remove the two shaft and gear assemblies (8). 9. Remove the bearings from the two body assemblies with tooling (B).Assemble Oil Pump (D330C, D333C Marine Engines)
1. Install the bearings in the two body assemblies with tooling (B). 2. Put clean SAE 30 engine oil on the shaft and gear assemblies and install them in the oil pump body assembly.3. Install the plate.4. Put clean SAE 30 engine oil on the oil pump gears. Install the keys in the shaft and gear assemblies. Install the oil pump gears. 5. Install the oil pump body assembly (1). 6. Install the bypass valve plunger (2) and spring (3) in the body assembly. Install cover plate.7. Put the oil pump drive gear in position on the shaft and install nut and washer. Tighten the nut to a torque of 60 lb.ft. (8.3 mkg) plus amount to put the cotter pin in alignment. Install the cotter pin.8. Install the suction bell assembly. 9. Install the bearing in the oil pump idler gear with tooling (A). Install the idler gear on the oil pump.end by: a) install oil pump
