16. Lubricate bearing cones (42) and (43) with SAE 30 oil and install, as shown. 17. Lower the temperature of bearing cup (44) to -62 10°C (-80 18°F). Use insulated gloves to install bearing cup (44). Drive bearing cup (44) downward in order to ensure light contact pressure on bearing cone (43). 18. Install 1.55 mm (0.061 inch) thickness of shims (28). 19. Install caps (26) and (27), three bolts (25) and the washers. Install the bolts at 120 degree intervals. Tighten three bolts (25) by an equal amount to a torque of 100 20 N*m (75 15 lb ft). Adding shims will decrease the rolling torque. Removing shims will increase the rolling torque.20. Install Tooling (C) to the bearing cones. Use a torque wrench and Tooling (C) to check the rolling torque. The rolling torque must be not less than 5 N*m (45 lb inch) or greater than 15 N*m (133 lb inch). Add or remove shims as required. Make sure that the sealing lip of the lip seal in the upper cap is facing toward the outside of the cab. Make sure that the sealing lip of the lip seal in the lower cap is facing toward the inside of the cap.21. Remove caps (26) and (27). Use Tooling (B) to install lip seal (29) in bearing caps (26) and (27). Lubricate the sealing lips of the seals with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease. 22. Install caps (26) and (27) to the upper hitch assembly. Install the amount of shims, found in Step 20 under cap (26). Install six bolts (25) and the washers. Tighten six bolts (25) to a torque of 100 20 N*m (75 15 lb ft). 23. Connect lubrication hose assembly (24). 24. Install Tooling (D) to oscillating hitch (14). Install Tooling (E) to Tooling (D). Attach a hoist and suitable lifting chains to oscillating hitch (14) and Tooling (E). The weight of oscillating hitch (14) is 1575 kg (3473 lb).25.
