Some 375, 375 L Excavators are shipped with the stick not installed. After the stick is installed and the bucket cylinder on the machine is initially operated, there is risk of damage to the piston and piston seals due to air trapped inside the cylinder (burned seals and air chatter). Solution:
To avoid damage to the components from trapped air, perform following procedure to purge the air from the cylinder.1.Extend the rod of the bucket cylinder SLOWLY and completely. Do not use pressure action at the end of the stroke.2. Activate the bucket cylinder slowly through a minimum of five complete cycles (extend/retract) before beginning to work normally with the machine.
