A new hydraulic friction modifier is now available for the above listed Medium Wheel Loaders that use Cat® Bio Hydo Advanced Oil.The 454-7024 Additive-Oil (Hydraulic) reduces cylinder noise experienced mainly during warming operations with extended arms and loaded bucket.The amount of additive to be used is dependent on machine hydraulic system capacity. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for your machine to determine system capacity.Recommended treatment is 0.2% of hydraulic system capacity. (One 500 mL (17.0 oz) bottle per 250 L (66 US gal) of hydraulic system capacity.) Pour the appropriate quantity of additive into the hydraulic fill tube to achieve a 0.2% treatment rate.Note: Do not exceed a maximum of up to 500 mL (17.0 oz) total additive per machine. Machines with hydraulic systems exceeding 250 L (66 US gal) should receive a maximum dose of one 500 mL (17.0 oz) bottle of additive.Operate the machine and exercise all implements for at least 20 minutes so the additive is adequately mixed into the hydraulic system.Refer to , PELJ1650, "Hydraulic Oil Additive for Noise Reduction Additive for Use on Certain Machines Using CAT® Bio Hydo Advanced Oil" for additional details.The 454-7024 Additive-Oil (Hydraulic) is adaptable to all of the above listed machines.
