The new bolts were effective with 950G (S/N: 4BS712-UP; 3JW2181-2183, 2196-2209 and 2211-UP) Wheel Loaders and 962G (S/N: 5AS402-UP; 4PW506-510 and 512-UP) Wheel Loaders. The new bolts are adaptable to first production of the machines that are listed.Note: The bearing cage (1) may have yielded under load if the existing bolts (2) are loose. Use the following procedures in order to repair the bearing cage if the existing bolts are loose.
The existing bolt holes in the bearing cage should be spot faced. Spot face the existing bolt holes to 25.4 mm (1 inch).
Check the thickness of the bearing cage after the spot face. The thickness of the bearing cage should be no less than 11 mm (.433 inch). A new bearing cage must be used if the new thickness is less than 11 mm (.433 inch).
