This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI1241" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI1241" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
Problem
The welds on the ROPS overhead canopy side beams may crack on certain CB614 Compactors.

Other CB614 Compactors with an identification number of 7CD1-174 that are not specifically listed above, are included in this program if they were fitted with a 5E0104 ROPS after they left the factory.

Rework Procedure
Refer to attached Illustration.
1. Remove the existing 5E0104 ROPS from the machine.2. Carefully inspect ROPS for cracks. Identify any cracks and repair using Special Instruction SEHS6929, "Inspection, Maintenance and Repair of ROPS". If existing ROPS support legs are cracked and cannot be repaired following Special Instruction SEHS6929, replace with a new 1158403 Canopy Assembly.
3. Locate and weld 1155681 Left Hand Plate and 1155682 Right Hand Plates and 1155683 Gussets as shown in the attached Illustration. If cracks extend beyond plates, the ROPS will have to be replaced. Before ordering plates, measure cracks to see if plates will cover cracks.4. Remove weld slag, clean metal, prime and paint the welded areas after repair.5. Install ROPS on machine using new 3R2300 Bolts. Tighten bolts to a torque of 1370 lb. ft.6. Verify machine vibrations per minute (VPM). Maximum VPM should be 2300 50 VPM.7. Verify engine RPM.Low idle should be 825 25 RPM, and high idle should be 2400 50 RPM.
