Information:


At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when the engine is stopped, and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system by slowly loosening the fill cap located on top of the hydraulic oil tank.2. Put identification marks on six hoses (2) as to their location on vibratory cooling valve (1).3. Disconnect electrical connector (4) from drum selector valve (3).4. Open the access cover for the battery compartment. Remove four bolts (5), the washers and nuts that hold the vibratory cooling valve and drum selector valve in position. Remove both vales as a unit. The following steps are for the installation of the vibratory cooling valve and drum selector valve.5. Install the vibratory cooling valve and drum selector valve in the reverse order of removal.6. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.Disassemble & Assemble Vibratory Cooling Valve & Drum Selector Valve
Start By:a. remove vibratory cooling valve and drum selector valve1. Be sure the vibratory cooling valve and drum selector valve are thoroughly clean prior to disassembly.2. Remove four screws (2), and remove plate (1) and its tethered seal.3. Remove four socket head bolts (3), and separate the vibratory cooling valve and the drum selector valve.4. Disassemble the drum selector valve as follows:a. Remove five o-ring seals (4) from the drum selector valve.b. Remove one screw (7), and loosen terminal clip (6) from the valve body.c. Put identification marks on two wires (5) as to their location. Disconnect two wires (5) from terminal clip (6).d. Remove four socket head bolts (8), and separate solenoid (9) from the valve body.e. Remove o-ring seal (10) and bushing (11) from the valve body.f. Remove piston (12) from the valve body. Remove spring (14) and retainer (13) from the piston. There is only one piston per valve.5. Disassemble the other side of the valve body as in Steps 4d through 4f.6. Disassemble the vibratory cooling valve as follows:a. Remove shuttle valve (15) from the valve body.b. Remove two o-ring seals (18) and two back-up rings (17) from the shuttle valve. Remove o-ring seal (16) from the shuttle valve.c. Remove charge relief valve (19) from the valve body.d. Remove two o-ring seals (20) from the relief valve.e. Remove protection valve (21) from the valve body.f. Remove o-ring seal (23), back-up ring (22) and o-ring seal (24) from relief valve (21). The following steps are for the assembly of the vibratory cooling valve and the drum selector valve.7. Be sure all parts of the vibratory cooling valve and the drum selector valve are clean and free of dirt and debris. Check the condition of all o-ring seals and back-up rings. If the seals or rings are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Put clean hydraulic oil on
