Disconnect harness assembly (29) from the straight travel solenoid valve.

Disconnect harness assembly (30) from the bottom of the attachment control valve.

Disconnect all hose assemblies (31) from the top of the main control valve.

Remove bolts (32a), the washers, and the split flanges in order to disconnect two hose assemblies (32) from the main control valve.

Disconnect hose assemblies (33) from the boom drift reduction valve.

Remove bolts (36) and the washers that connect tube (37) to the boom drift reduction valve.
Remove bolts (35) and the washers.
Remove boom drift reduction valve (34) .

Loosen the locknut to hose (38) in order to loosen four bolts (39) and the washers from the slow return check valve.Note: Bolts (39) can not be removed. Loosen the bolts until the slow return check valve is free from the main control valve.

Disconnect hose assembly (40) from the back of the main control valve.Note: The opposite end of hose assembly (41) was removed at the boom drift reduction valve. Hose assembly (41) will be removed with the main control valve.

Remove bolts (42) and the washers that hold the main control valve in position.

Fasten Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to main control valve (43) .
Raise the main control valve as much as possible in order to access the lower pilot hoses.

Remove pilot hose assemblies (44) from the bottom side of the main control valve.
Carefully remove main control valve (43). Refer to illustration 27. The weight of the main control valve is approximately 208 kg (460 lb).Note: O-ring seals, gaskets, and seals should always be replaced. A used O-ring seal may not have the same sealing properties as a new O-ring. Use Tooling (C) during the assembly procedure.Note: For the specific torque values of all the hose assemblies and the tube assemblies that connect to the main control valve, refer to Specifications in the service manual.

Fasten Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to main control valve (43) .
Support stick drift reduction valve (48). Remove bolts (49) and the washers.
Remove all tube assemblies (47) from the main control valve (43) .

Remove hose assembly (45) .
Remove hose assembly (46) that connects to the boom drift reduction valve.
