(1) Button for numbers one and two (2) Button for numbers three and four (3) Button for numbers five and six (4) Button for numbers seven and eight (5) Button for numbers nine and zero (A) LED 1 (B) LED 2The antitheft keypad immobilizes the engine, transmission, and hydraulic systems until a valid password is entered. The password is of four characters or six characters. Two numbers are shown on each button for reference, the system recognizes the button press order. For example, for code "3-1-4-4-2-7" press buttons "3-1-3-3-1-7".Note: An "Owner" master code and operator "User" code are set by your Caterpillar dealer upon machine delivery. Remember this code to avoid dealer visits to reset the master code.Normal Customer Operation
Unlock the Machine Keypad
Unlock - The unlock indicator (A) is located above button (1) and will illuminate green when the keypad is unlocked.
At key on, the indicator will flash red, enter desired User password within 10 minutes.
If password is correct, the unlock indictor will illuminate and double beep will be heard. The system is now unlocked. If an incorrect password is entered, the lock indicator will flash.Note: If the password is entered 5 times incorrectly, the keypad will be placed in tamper mode and will be disabled for 15 minutes.
If a valid password is entered with the key in the off position, the system will not Unlock until the key has been turned On.
If the keyswitch is turned to the ON position but no password is entered within 10 minutes. The system will lockout and the keyswitch must be turned to the OFF position again to reset.Tamper Lockout procedure
When five wrong codes are entered, the keypad enters into Tamper Lockout mode and "LED 2" will flash alternating from red to amber.
Tamper mode will run for 15 minutes. Wait with the keyswitch ON for "LED 2" to flash a slow red light before re-entering a password.Lock the Machine Keypad
Lock - The lock indicator (B) is located below button (9) and will illuminate red when the keypad is locked.
Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position. The unlock indicator will flash.
After a 30 second time period the keypad will automatically Lock and the Lock indicator will illuminate red.
If the keyswitch is returned to the On position during the 30 second timeout the keypad resumes unlocked.Delayed Lock Feature
Temporarily keeps the machine unlocked for 15 minutes.
At key switch OFF position, press & hold button (3) for 1 second, "LED 1" will flash green. The machine is now "Unlocked" for next 15 minutes. The machine will enter the "Locked" state after that time frame has expired.
