To avoid possible personal injury from sudden release of the spindle from the strut rod or the snapping of a bolt when removing the plate, loosen all bolts (5) one-half turn, working your way around the plate in a circular pattern. Do this again and again until the torque is released for the bolts.

If the front cylinder is disassembled, assemble in the vertical position only.
