16. Remove two bolts (17), washers and nuts from the lift arm collet assemblies, on both sides of the machine. 17. Use tooling (A) to remove the outside collet assembly. Tighten the forcing bolts evenly and remove the collet. Repeat for the inside collet assembly. 18. Remove pin (18) and the shims from the lift arm assembly.19. Repeat Steps 17 through 18 for the other side of the lift arm assembly.20. Remove the bucket control group safety pins from both sides of the lift arm assembly. 21. Remove the lift arm assembly from the front frame. The weight of the lift arm assembly is 2812 kg (6200 lb). 22. Remove lip seals and bearings (19) from the frame end pin bores.23. Remove lip seals and bearings (20) from the lift cylinder pin bores.24. Remove lip seals and bearings (21) from the bucket end of the lift arm assembly.Install Lift Arm Assembly
1. Be sure the bores in the lift arm assembly are clean and free of dirt and debris prior to installation of the bearings and lip seals. 2. Use Tooling (A) to install the bearings in the frame end pin bores. The bearings must be installed in the center of the bores. 3. Apply 7M-7456 Bearing Mount to the bores before installation. Use tooling (D) to install lip seals (1) in the frame end pin bores. 4. Use tooling (B) to install the bearings in the lift cylinder pin bores. The bearings must be installed in the center of the bores. 5. Apply 7M-7456 Bearing Mount to the bores before installation. Use tooling (D) to instal lip seals (2) in the list cylinder pin bores. 6. Use tooling (C) to install the bearings in the bucket end of the lift arm assembly. The bearings must be installed in the center of the bores. 7. Apply 7M-7456 Bearing Mount to the bores before installation. Use tooling (D) to install lip seals (3) in the bucket end of the lift arm assembly. 8. Attach suitable lifting chains and a hoist to the lift arm assembly as shown. The weight of the lift arm assembly is 2812 kg (6200 lb).9. Before installation, coat the bores, the pins and the lip seals with 5P-0960 Lubricant.10. Put the lift arm assembly in position in the front frame and install the rear pivot pins and shims as required. 11. Install bucket control group safety pins (4) in both sides of the lift arm assembly.12. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the outside and inside diameters of all collets before assembly. Install inside and outside collet assemblies (5), on both sides of the front frame.13. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compoundon the thread of the bolt that holds the collet assemblies to the pin assemblies. The collet on one side must not extend farther than the other collet when the bolts are tight.14. Tighten the bolt and nut that hold the collet assemblies to the pin assembly as follows:a.
