2. Put the pump in position in a vise with soft jaws as shown. Remove eight bolts (4) and the washers. Remove any burrs or sharp edges from drive gear shaft (3). Put a thin layer of grease on the shaft. Keep flange assembly (2) as straight as possible, and lift flange assembly (2) off the pump body. 3. Remove O-ring seal (5) from the bottom of the flange. Check the two shaft bushings in the flange assembly for wear or damage, and replace if necessary. 4. Remove the first of two lip seals (6) out of flange assembly (2). Use Tool (A) to remove retaining ring (7) from flange assembly (2). Remove the second lip seal (6) from flange assembly (2). 5. Remove upper isolation plate (8), ring retainer (9), O-ring seal (7) and back-up ring (6) from the pump body. 6. Lift the drive gear until upper pressure plate (10) is removed from the pump. Put the drive gear back in position in the pump, and remove pressure plate (10). 7. Remove drive gear (11) and idler gear (12) from the pump body.
