Remove the secondary steering pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Secondary Steering) - Remove". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.
For assembly purposes put an alignment mark across the flange assembly and body assembly of the secondary steering pump prior to disassembly.

Remove eight bolts (2).
Remove flange (1).

Remove O-ring seal (3), two O-rings seals (4) and two back-up rings (5).

Remove lip seal (8) from flange (1).
Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (7) (not shown).
Remove lip seal (6) (not shown).

Remove two isolation plates (10) and retainer assembly (9).

Remove pressure plate (11).

Remove drive gear (12) and idler gear (13).

Using a seal pick, remove two isolation plates (16).
Remove retainer assembly (15), two O-ring seals (17) and two back-up rings (18).
