throttle switch is located in the cab. The throttle switch is a three-position rocker switch with two poles. The switch is read by the electronic control module (ECM). This switch is a backlit rocker switch with a picture of a rabbit and a picture of a tortoise.The ECM reads the switch. The ECM determines if high idle or low idle was pressed. The switch sets the desired engine speed to the approximate value.The operator can set the engine speed by pressing the decelerator pedal downward and then pushing the throttle switch to high idle. The decelerator operates from this new, high idle point to the minimum speed.
