(1) Tap for power shift pressure
Install a 4900 kPa (700 psi) pressure gauge on the tap for power shift pressure (1) .
Enter the Calibration Mode. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Calibration Mode - Enter".
Ensure that the engine speed dial is in the LOW IDLE position (tortoise).
Depress the switch for one touch low idle for 1 to 2 seconds.Note: The calibration will begin when the LOW IDLE indicator blinks.
Dial positions 2 through position 9 select the power shift pressure. Select the position which contains the most appropriate lower power shift pressure.Note: This step begins the calibration of the lower power shift pressure. The lower power shift pressure is 500 kPa (72 psi). An appropriate pressure may not be available from positions 2 through position 9. Select position 10 (rabbit) in order to increase the pressure gradually. Select position 1 (tortoise) in order to decrease the pressure gradually. Stop the pressure change by selecting any position between position 1 and position 10.
Press and release the switch for one touch low idle.Note: This validates the calibration value. The low idle indicator will begin to blink if the validation is complete.
Move the engine speed dial to position 10 (rabbit) or position 1 (tortoise).Note: This step begins the calibration of the higher power shift pressure. The higher power shift pressure is 2500 kPa (360 psi). The calibration begins if the blinking rate of the low idle indicator changes. An appropriate pressure may not be available from positions 2 through position 9. Select position 10 (rabbit) in order to increase the pressure gradually. Select position 1 (tortoise) in order to decrease the pressure gradually. Stop the pressure change by selecting any position between position 1 and position 10.
Press and release the switch for one touch low idle.Note: This validates the calibration value. The low idle indicator will turn OFF when the calibration is complete.The low idle indicator may blink rapidly during the calibration. The low idle indicator may blink rapidly after the calibration is complete. This indicates an abnormal condition. You may adjust the engine speed dial in order to determine the cause. An abnormal condition is indicated when the engine speed dial is set to 1 and the low idle indicator blinks rapidly. Set the engine speed dial to 2. The driver circuit for the proportional reducing valve is abnormal when the low idle indicator blinks rapidly. Perform troubleshooting according to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Stalls - Troubleshoot" and Testing and Adjusting, "No Power - Troubleshoot".
