Removal Procedure
Disconnect the battery. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Disconnect".

Disconnect cable assembly (1).
Disconnect harness assembly (2).
Disconnect hose (5).
Remove bolts (3) and the washers.
Remove air inlet elbow (4).
Remove the air inlet heater. Installation Procedure

Typical example
Clean the joint face on air inlet elbow (4) and the air inlet heater with solvent. Apply Tooling (A) on the joint face. Allow the primer to air dry for a minimum of three to five minutes.
Apply Tooling (B) to the joint face of air inlet elbow (4). Air inlet elbow (4) must be installed within ten minutes of application of the sealant.
Position the air inlet heater on air inlet elbow (4). Position air inlet elbow (4) on the engine.
Install bolts (3) and the washers.
Connect hose (5).
Connect harness assembly (2).
Connect cable assembly (1) to the solenoid of the air inlet heater. Tighten the nut to a torque of 6.0 0.5 N m (53 4 lb in).
Connect the battery. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Disconnect".
