Assemble gear (1), bearing cage (2) and bearings. Tighten all bearing cage bolts (3) evenly.2. Position housing and a vertical position, rotate gears back and forth several times to seat bearings.3. Measure gap (4) between housing and bearing cage.4. Add shims required to obtain 0.15 0.05 mm (.006 .002 in)5. Measure end play of gear (1).6. If end play is less than 0.10 mm (.004 in), add shims. If end play is greater than 0.20 mm (.008 in), remove shims.7. Torque for 13 bolts (3) ... 45 7 N m (33 5 lb ft)
