Installation Procedure
Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

If any of the following components were removed, install the components before proceeding with the installation of the operator hand control:
Position sensor (18) for the hydraulic control.
Position sensor (17) for the transmission control.
Two spring kits (16) .
Two lamps (15) that illuminate the operator hand control.Note: It may be necessary to recalibrate position sensor (17). Refer to Testing and Adjusting, RENR3442, "Transmission Control (Shift Lever) - Calibrate" when the installation is complete.

Place mounting plate (12) and the operator hand control on one side. Connect electrical connector (14) for the hydraulic control and connector (13) for the transmission control.

Carefully install mounting plate (12) and the operator hand control into the cab and install four bolts (11) .

Install a new cable strap (10) and connect electrical connector (9) .

Connect electrical connector (7) for parking brake switch (8) before installing a new cable strap (6) .

Position cover (5) and install six screws (4) .

Install cover (2) and three screws (3) .

Open the right side cab windows. This will enable the installation of two screws (1) into cover (2) .End By: Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery Disconnect Switch".
