1. Remove hollow screws (1).2. Remove deflector plate (2). 3. Remove seven nuts (3) and washers.4. Start the engine and raise the screed off two nose bars (4).5. Pull the machine FORWARD and stop the engine.6. Move the nose bars to a safe work area. There will be shims between the extender frame and the nose bars. Mark or identify for later installation. The nose bar should be set 0.00 mm to 1.5 mm (.000 to .060 in) maximum lower than the extender screed plate. Closer to the 0.00 mm to .000 in) tolerance is much more preferable than setting the nose bar to the maximum tolerance of 1.5 mm (.060 in) maximum. If any of the studs are removed, apply Locktite 272 to the studs before installing. For installation of the extender nose bars, reverse the removal steps.
