Start By:
Remove the rear differential and bevel gear. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Differential and Bevel Gear (Rear) - Remove".
Remove the differential from the carrier assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Differential and Bevel Gear - Disassemble".

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove the bearing cone from the differential.
Remove bolts (1) and the washers that attach the bevel gear to the differential assembly.

Use a suitable sling and a hoist to remove differential assembly (2) from bevel gear (3). Differential assembly (2) weighs 113 kg (250 lb). Bevel gear (3) weighs 34 kg (75 lb).

Place the differential assembly on wood blocks. Use Tooling (B) to remove the bearing cone from the opposite end of the differential.
Remove bolts (4) and the washers that hold the differential assembly together.

Install two 5/8" - 11 NC forged eyebolts with nuts through the bolt holes in the case assembly (5). Attach a hoist to the eyebolts. Remove case assembly (5) from differential case (6). Remove the thrust washer from case assembly (5) .Note: Side gear (8) is spring loaded.

Remove thrust washer (7) from side gear (8). Remove side gear (8) from the differential case.

Remove spring (9) and spring retainer (10) from the differential case.

Remove clutch assembly (11) from the differential case.

Remove spider (12) from the differential case. Remove clutch assembly (13) from the differential case.
Remove the spring retainer and the spring from the differential case. Remove the side gear from the differential case.
Remove the differential case bolts (14) .
