Place the housing in a soft jawed vise. Refer to Illustration 1 for orientation.

Install the square key onto the output shaft. Apply tape around the splines in order to prevent damage to the seals. Install output shaft (14) into the housing.

Inspect O-ring seal (11). Replace the O-ring seal if the O-ring seal is worn or damaged. Apply clean hydraulic oil to all O-ring seals during assembly.

Check the wear in the rotor set before assembly. Position the rotor as the rotor is shown in Illustration 6. Use a feeler gauge to check the clearance in the rotor set. The clearance should not exceed 0.1270 mm (0.005 inch). If the clearance is greater than the amount that is specified, replace the rotor set.

Install rotor set (8) and plate (9) together.Note: Installing the rotor set and the plate together will retain the rotor set in the assembled form. This will maintain the same contact surfaces between the rotor vane and the stator.

Inspect O-ring seal (7) on the top and the bottom of the manifold. Replace the O-ring seal if the O-ring seal is worn or damaged. Apply clean hydraulic oil to all O-ring seals during assembly.
Install manifold (6) .

Inspect O-ring seal (5). Replace the O-ring seal if the O-ring seal is worn or damaged. Apply clean hydraulic oil to all O-ring seals during assembly.
Install plate (4) .

Inspect O-ring seal (3). Replace the O-ring seal if the O-ring seal is worn or damaged. Apply clean hydraulic oil to all O-ring seals during assembly.

Make sure that the initial alignment mark is aligned. Install seven bolts (1) into the gerotor motor. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 75 N m (55 lb ft). Refer to Illustration 12 for the proper tightening sequence.
Rotate the gerotor motor in the soft jawed vise so that the gear can be installed onto the output shaft. Heat gear (13) to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F).

Use insulated gloves to install gear (13) on output shaft (14) .End By: Install the gerotor motor. Refer to Service Manual, "Gerotor Motor - Install".
