Procedure For Installing Larger End Frame Bolts

Support Assembly And Bolt Locations (1) 7X-0410 Bolts. (2) 9U-4685 Support Assembly. Before Failure: Replace existing 7X-0410 Bolts (1) (not canceled) with new 9X-8896 Bolts which are the same size but are phosphate coated and oiled. Apply 4C-9507 Retaining Compound and torque to 1050 N m (772 lb ft).
After Failure:
1. Remove existing 7X-0410 Bolts (1).2. Use a 25.5 mm (1 in) tap drill to enlarge the existing holes in four places (1) on 9U-4685 Support Assembly (2). Be sure to drill completely through the hole.

Counterbore each hole using a 30.5 mm (1.2 in) drill to a depth equal to the thickness of dimension (A).5. Tap each hole using a 1.125 inch-7-2B tap.6. Apply 4C-9507 Retaining Compound to the new 1.125 inch 3N-1614 Bolts.7. Install 3N-1614 Bolts and tighten to a torque of 1450 N m (1066 lb ft).
