9U5839 Liquid Gasket Material is available for use with aluminum. This new liquid gasket material does NOT cause degradation of aluminum. This new liquid gasket material is contained in a 4 ounce collapsible tube and is 80 percent (by weight) Acetone. The 9U5839 Liquid Gasket Material is flammable and should be used only in a well ventilated area. The 9U5839 Liquid Gasket Material can be used in place of 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material in any application.
The 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material should NOT be used on aluminum. The 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material is 90 percent (by weight) 1, 1, 1 Trichloroethane which can cause aluminum degradation. The 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material can be used on non-aluminum applications.
