Oil leakage in turbo
Some of the machines listed above may experience turbo oil leakage and subsequent engine damage. Starting and initially operating the engine at high idle in cold weather can cause the turbo bearing seal to fail.Solution
Start the machine at low idle, only. Warm up the engine as outlined in SEBU9084. Refer to the topic referenced above.Note: Software is being developed to prevent high idle starts.If a turbo oil leak is evident, inspect the turbo for damage. Replace any failed parts or replace the turbo with the same part number (482-8480).
