Establish a 30.5 m (100 ft) straight speed test course. Make sure that the course provides sufficient distance for the machine to reach full speed before it passes the starting line. Make sure the course provides sufficient distance for the machine to be stopped after the finish line is passed.

Move propulsion lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.

Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.

Move throttle lever (3) to the LOW IDLE position.

Move engine start switch (4) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes.
Move throttle lever (3) to the HIGH IDLE position. Operate the engine at 2580 25 RPM.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (B). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches a minimum of 50 °C (122 °F).
Make sure that the vibratory system is OFF.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the OFF position.
Back the machine up far enough to reach full speed before the start line.
Use Tool (A) to time the machine through the 30.5 m (100 ft) course. The machine should complete the course in 12.5 1.0 seconds.
Repeat the test in reverse.
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move throttle lever (3) to the LOW IDLE position.
Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
