Fore And Aft Slide Adjustment Procedure
1. Move the seat to the farthest rearward position, as in Illustration 1.

Front View of Seat in Farthest Rearward Position2. Loosen nut (1), as shown in Illustration 1, just enough to allow lateral movement of the adjustable slide rail (2).3. Move the seat to the farthest forward position, as in Illustration 2.

Rear View of Seat in Farthest Forward Position 4. Loosen bolts (5), (6), and (7) just enough to allow lateral movement of the adjustable slide rail (2). Nut (1), and bolts (5), (6), and (7) must all be loosened berfore continuing with the adjustment procedure.5. Using a hammer, tap the adjustable slide rail (2) towards the upper slide plate (3). Continue to tap the adjustable slide rail (2) until the slide block (4) is securely against the upper slide plate (3).6. Slightly tighten bolt (6).7. Return the seat to the farthest rearward position, as in Illustration 1.8. Using a hammer, tap the adjustable slide rail (2) towards the upper slide plate (3). Continue to tap the adjustable slide rail (2) until the slide block (4) is securely against the upper slide plate (3).9. Lightly tighten nut (1).10. Move the seat fully forward and rearward to test the adjustment. If excessive effort is required to slide the seat, using the hammer, tap the adjustable slide rail (2) away from the upper slide plate (3). If excessive side to side clearance is present, tap the adjustable slide rail (2) towards the upper slide plate (3).11. If necessary, repeat Step 10 until the seat will move easily from the forward to rearward positions with a minimum of side to side motion. Ensure that excessive clearance does not exist between the slide block (4) and the upper slide plate (3).12. Tighten nut (1) to a torque of 47 N m (34 lb ft).13. Tighten bolts (5), (6), and (7) to a torque of 47 N m (34 lb ft).
