Install blocks or stands before performance of any work under a heavy component.Approximate weights of the components are shown. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed.
Required Tools
The following tools will be required in order to install the CD700 display. The list below contains the recommended Caterpillar service tools.

There are two options available in order to install the CD700 display in certain D6T machines.Option 1
This option replaces the existing machine brackets with two new bracket assemblies. This option allows for the light-bars to be mounted directly next to the CD700 display.Option 2
This option uses the existing machine bracket. The light-bars are mounted on the sides of the dash / glove box.Option 1 - Installation Procedure of the CD700 Display with Two New Plate Assemblies
Note: In order to install the CD700 display, the following parts are to be ordered from Caterpillar.Parts List

Fastener locations in the D6T Dash / Glove box
Open the glove box.
Remove the four fasteners that are holding the existing backer bracket / glove box. Refer to Illustration 3 for the locations of the fasteners.
Replace the bracket with the new 352-1589 Plate As .
Install the light-bars onto the bracket.
Install the CD700 into the new 340-4248 Plate As .
Connect the harness to the CD700 display.
Attach the assembled bracket / CD700 display into the dash.Option 2 - Installation Procedure of the CD700 Display with the Existing Bracket Assembly
Note: An alternate installation procedure for the CD700 display with the existing bracket assembly.

Attach the CD700 control box to the existing bracket using four 6 mm X 10 mm bolts and lock washers that are shown in Illustration 4.Note: Some adjustment of the tabs may be required to mount the CD700 display.

Attach the light-bars to the outside of the dash using the adhesive or hook and loop tape.
