Accidental machine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the machine.To avoid accidental machine starting, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. If the machine is not equipped with a battery disconnect switch, disconnect the battery cables from the battery and tape the battery clamps.Place a do not operate tag at the battery disconnect switch location to inform personnel that the machine is being worked on.
Perform the following rework procedure to the 308-2506 Wiring Harness change level 2 or lower to conduct the stall test on machines that are listed above and also to the machines that have had PS43080 applied.
Use a length of 18 gauge wire to run from the 40 pin platform connector (PL-C18) at the back of the junction and to the 31 pin connector (PL-C15).
Splice the added wire from the 40 pin platform connector (PL-C18) into wire 197- CJ34-GN18 pin 2 at CJ-C2.
Splice the added wire from 31 pin connector (PL-C15) into wire 308-CJ14-YL18 pin 4 at CJ-C4.The rework procedure made to the 308-2506 Wiring Harness change level 2 or lower will not affect the use of the harness on older machines that have not had the changes to the deceleration pedal sensor.The rework procedure of the 308-2506 Wiring Harness change level 2 or lower to conduct the stall test is adaptable and effective to the serial numbers that are listed in Table 1.
