Instruction for Flashing Software on the A5M2 ECM
Perform the following instructions to flash the 356-3664 Machine Software Gp to the ECM. Use the Electronic Technician (ET) to flash the software to the ECM.Before connecting to the service port, turn ON the master disconnect and key on the machine. Do not run the machine during this time. Connect the Communication Adapter to the service port of the front harness.

Once ET has connected to the machine ECM, select the "Utilities" tab from the top menu and choose "WinFlash".

Wait for "WinFlash" to connect to the ECM.

Select the ECM.

From the "File Information quadrant", select the "Browse" button. Select the “3563664V04” flash file.

Select the "Begin Flash" button.

Once the flash is complete, exit ET and power cycle the machine.After flashing all the required software, calibrate all the stabilizer levers and the respective solenoids.After calibration, operate the machine to see if it is responding correctly. If the machine stabilizer motion seems slow, then go into Electronic Technician and change the maximum current for each function accordingly.Perform the following steps for instructions on changing the maximum currents.

Go into ET. Select the "Service Tab" from the top menu and choose "Configuration" as shown in Illustration 29.

Highlight the "Machine Control ECM" and click on "PHS Max Current Calibration Values" as shown in Illustration 30. Increase the maximum current values to some arbitrary amount and test to see if the stabilizer speeds have increased. Repeat this procedure until an acceptable response is achieved. The maximum current that can be set is 1.7 Amps. Key cycle the machine every time a change in value is made.Instructions for Updating the Master Implement ECM Software
Perform the following steps for updating the Master Implement ECM Software.
Key on the machine. Connect the Communication Adapter to the main service port that is located just below the left side of the seat.

Once ET has connected, select the "Machine Control ECM" as shown in Illustration 31.

Select the "Utilities" tab from the top menu and choose "WinFlash".

Select "Machine Control Module" as the ECM to flash.

From the "File Information" quadrant, select the "Browse" button. Select the "3567326V01" flash file.

Select the "Begin Flash" button. Once the flash is complete, exit ET and power cycle the machine.
