2. Disconnect both ether aid lines (2) and (3).3. Disconnect wires (4) from the parking brake alarm sensing unit.4. Remove intake manifold-to-turbocharger pipe elbow (1).5. Remove four elbow-to-turbocharger pipe retaining nuts and bolts (5). 6. Remove two bracket-to-turbocharger pipe retaining bolts located at the bottom of the turbocharger pipe. Remove the turbocharger pipe. 7. Remove fuel ratio control sensing line (6).8. Disconnect governor control linkage (8).9. Remove the two governor-to-bracket retaining bolts (9) and governor-to-intake manifold bracket (7).10. Remove four governor-to-fuel injection pump housing mounting bolts. Two of the mounting bolts can not be removed from governor until the governor is disassembled.11. Remove the governor assembly.Install Governor
1. Position the governor on engine with lever on governor engaged in slot in rack. Install the four governor retaining bolts.2. Install the governor bracket retaining bolts in rear of governor.3. Install the governor-to-intake manifold bracket.4. Connect the governor control linkage.5. Install the fuel ratio control sensing line.6. Install turbocharger pipe. Install bracket-to-turbocharger pipe retaining bolts.7. Install turbocharger-to-elbow retaining bolts and nuts.8. Install intake manifold-to-turbocharger pipe elbow.9. Connect wires to the parking brake alarm sensing unit.10. Connect both ether aid lines.11. Install the right hood section.Disassemble Governor
preparatory steps: a) remove governorb) remove fuel ratio control with override1. Remove the high and low idle screw cover. Remove the cover assembly plate, mounting bolts, nuts and screws. 2. Remove the lever retaining bolts (1) and locks. Remove the two levers and shaft (5).3. Remove the rack stop collar retaining screw (6). Remove rack stop collar (7), collar and spring. Remove the high and low idle screws (2). Remove retaining bolt (4) and idle screw housing (3). Remove the seals from idle screw housing. 4. Remove speed limiter plug (10), spring (9) and plunger (8). 5. Remove two governor housing assembly retaining screws (11). Remove the governor housing assembly (21), seat (15), spring (20) and washer type spring (14). 6. Disassemble governor housing (21) as follows: Remove governor control lever (16). Remove the lever assembly-to-shaft retaining bolt and lock. Remove the shaft, lever and seal from housing assembly.7. Remove the fuel rack lever retaining pin (12). Remove lever (17). Remove weight assembly-to-body assembly retaining bolts (18) and lock. Remove oil tube assembly (13). Remove the weight, piston and valve assemblies (19) as a unit.8. Remove the rack control shaft from the weight and cylinder assembly. 9. Remove the seat retaining ring (22) and pin (23). 10. Remove the seat (24), bolt (25), washers (26), and spring (27).11. Remove the sleeve and bearing assembly from the cylinder and weight assemblies. 12. Remove the retaining ring (30) from sleeve (28).13. Remove bearing (29) and races (31) from sleeve (28). 14. Remove the valve (34) from piston (37).15. Remove the cylinder-to-weight assembly retaining ring (32).16. Remove the weight assembly (35).17. Remove piston (37) and sleeve (33) from the cylinder (36).18. Remove the O-ring seal from the sleeve (33). 19. Remove the governor drive pinion retaining bolt (38), lock and plate.20. Remove governor drive pinion (39).21. Remove the weight
