Remove the damper guard group.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Select the guide pins in accordance with the proper application.

Remove the two bolts (1) that hold the vibration damper (2). Install Tool (A).
Place a nylon strap through the center of the vibration damper (2), and fasten the nylon strap to a hoist. The weight of a narrow vibration damper is approximately 288 kg (639 lb). The weight of a wide vibration damper is approximately 402 kg (886 lb).
Remove the rest of the bolts that hold the vibration damper (2) to the adapter, and remove the adapter. Remove Tool (A).

Remove the two top bolts that hold the adapter (3) and the vibration damper (4). Remove Tool (B).
Remove the rest of the bolts, and remove the adapter (3).

Move the vibration damper (4) onto Tool (B) until a nylon strap can be placed through the center of the vibration damper (4).
Fasten the nylon strap to a hoist, and remove the vibration damper. The weight of a narrow vibration damper is approximately 288 kg (639 lb). The weight of a wide vibration damper is approximately 402 kg (882 lb).

Remove the spacer (5).
