(1) Location of the Keyswitch/EMO PanelThe Keyswitch/EMO Panel is located on the left front door of each flywheel cabinet. The panel contains 2 control modules.The first control is a "Power Electronics Off" button (SW9). The button powers down the flywheel electronics and is covered by a clear plastic shield to prevent accidental de-activation.The second control is a keyswitch (SW1) used to control operation of the flywheel cabinet. The keyswitch has 3 positions:
Spin down Offline
On-Line
Reset

Removal Procedure
Perform the steps outlined in Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654-00, "Internal Component Pre-Removal Steps" in order to place the flywheel cabinet in a de-energized state and gain access to the internal components.The flywheel cabinet must be in a de-energized state before removal steps can be performed.
Open the left cabinet door to gain access to the rear of the keyswitch/EMO.
Disconnect the wires that are attached to the keyswitch or EMO module. The location of the wires is labeled. Verify the labeling.
Push out the module through the front of the door panel.Installation Procedure
Check the orientation of the keyswitch or EMO module before you install the module. Refer to illustration 2.
Push the module through the front of the door and set the module in place.
Connect the wires to the module. The wires location is labeled. Refer to illustration 2 for wire connections.
