1. Disconnect grease line (1) from the top of the front support. 2. Disconnect grease line (3) from the top of the rear support.3. Disconnect brake line (2) from the junction block on top of the axle housing. 4. Fasten a hoist to each end of the axle housing and remove blocks (4) from between the frame and axle housing. 5. Install a chain around the axle housing, front support (6) and yoke (5) to hold front support (6) and yoke (5) in position. Remove bolts and nuts (7) that hold front support (6) to the machine. 6. Remove bolts and nuts (9) that hold rear support (8) to the machine. 7. Lower axle housing (10) to the ground and remove it from under the machine. The weight of axle housing (10) is 1288 kg (2850 lb.).Install Rear Axle Housing
1. Use a chain as shown to hold front support (1) and yoke (2) in position when the axle housing is installed. 2. Fasten a hoist to each end of axle housing (3). Put axle housing (3) in position on the machine as shown. 3. Install the bolts, washers and nuts (5) to hold rear support (4) to the machine. 4. Install the bolts, washers and nuts (6) to hold front support (1) in position on the machine.5. Remove the chain from the axle housing and front support. 6. Install wooden blocks (7) between the axle housing and frame to hold the axle housing in position for tire installation.7. Remove the hoist from each end of the axle housing. 8. Connect grease line (9) to the top of the rear support.9. Connect brake line (8) to the junction block on top of the axle housing. Remove (bleed) the pin from the brake system. 10. Connect grease line (10) to the top of the front support.11.
