525 (1DN) Wheel SkiddersDescription of Change: A new 126-1449 Gauge Assembly is used to measure the oil level in the 123-6561 Fixed Axle Housing and the 126-8278 Fixed Axle Housing. The new 126-1449 Gauge Assembly replaces the previous 9C-6327 Gauge Assembly (not canceled). The new 126-1449 Gauge Assembly is effective with 515 (4LR688-Up) and 525 (1DN1839-Up) Wheel Skidders that use the C500 series winch. 515 and 525 Wheel Skidders that use the series 400 winches have an independent oil circuit for the front axle housing, and a second oil circuit for the rear axle housing and the series 400 winch. 515 and 525 Wheel Skidders with the series 500 winch have an independent oil circuit for the series 500 winch. The front and rear axle housings are on the same oil circuit and are connected by an equalization line. The equalization line must travel through the articulation point, which is higher than the axles. The new 126-1449 Gauge Assembly is used to keep a higher oil level in the 123-6561 Fixed Axle Housing and the 126-8278 Fixed Axle Housing. The higher oil level is needed to prevent the oil from draining from one axle housing to the other, leaving the first axle housing at a low oil level. Both axle housings may be filled to the top without damage.
