Note: The 177-7374 Check Valve and the 300-9952 Check Valve are nonferrous fittings. The torque specifications that are found in the table for torque specifications for nonferrous fittings are reduced by 50 percent from the torque specifications of ferrous fittings.

(1) Check valve (2) FittingNote: Fitting (2) can connect the check valve to a tube assembly or a hose assembly.
Install check valve (1) and tighten to a torque of 11.5 1.5 N m (102 13 lb in).
Install fitting (2) onto check valve (1). Use a backup wrench on the check valve when the fitting is tightened in order to prevent the check valve from being overtorqued. Tighten the fitting (2) to a torque of 13.5 1.5 N m (119.5 13 lb in).Note: Use a backup wrench when the fitting is removed from the check valve in order to avoid inadvertent disassembly of the check valve.Note: Always rotate fitting (2) in order to maintain a downward slope of the hose assembly, if the engine is equipped with a hose assembly instead of a tube assembly.
