3208 Truck EnginesDescription of Change: Starting with 3208 Truck Engine 40S62320, a 9N3653 Water Pump Group is used with a pulley that is fastened to the shaft by a bolt, instead of a press (tight) fit. If the 9L7626 Auxiliary Drive Pulley is fastened to this pump pulley, the counterbore in the auxiliary pulley has interference with the bolt head for the water pump pulley. When this problem was found, a chamfer was machined in the counterbore of all 9L7626 Pulleys and they were given a new part number (9N5012). This gives clearance for the bolt head that holds on the pump pulley. See the Illustration. The pulley number was changed to "9N5012". This change is in effect with Serial Number 40S67680.
Adaptable To: The 9N5012 Pulley, with the chamfer, fits all water pumps that used the 9L7626 Pulley.
