A     1P-0510     Driver Gp     1    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.Note: Check the O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Make sure that all parts are thoroughly clean prior to assembly. Apply clean SAE 30W oil to all parts.

The correct assembled height of the locating dowels is 5 0.5 mm (.197 .020 inch).
Use Tooling (A) in order to install sleeve bearings (11) into oil pump manifold (1). Install sleeve bearings (11) into the bores so that sleeve bearings (11) are 1.5 0.5 mm (.06 .02 inch) below the surface of oil pump manifold (1). Install sleeve bearings (11) so that the joints of sleeve bearings (11) are 30 15 degrees from the centerlines of the shafts, as shown.

Install oil pump body assembly (10) to oil pump manifold (1) .

Install pump gear assembly (8) .
Install pump drive gear assembly (9) in oil pump manifold (1) .Note: Install the splined shaft with the large chamfer, as shown.

Use Tooling (A) in order to install sleeve bearings (7) in oil pump cover assembly (6). Install sleeve bearings (7) into the bores so that sleeve bearings (7) are 1.50 0.50 mm (.06 .02 inch) below the surface of oil pump cover assembly (6). Install sleeve bearings (7) so that the joints of sleeve bearings (7) are 30 15 degrees from the centerlines of the shafts, as shown.

Install oil pump cover assembly (6) .
Install bolts (5) in oil pump cover assembly (6). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

Install O-ring seal (4) on temperature sensor (2) .

Install O-ring seal (3) on oil pump manifold (1) .
Install temperature sensor (2) on oil pump manifold (1) .Note: The pump must rotate by hand, and the pump must rotate freely.End By: Install the transmission oil pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Oil Pump - Install".
