23. Install tooling (E) on the spacer in the lower hitch. Remove the spacer.24. Disconnect the anti-pivot link. 25. Remove tooling (B) and the blocks from wheels (815, 816) or tires (814) on the rear frame. Carefully pull rear frame (25) from front frame (22) with the lift truck and hoist.
The front of the rear frame must be lifted enough so hand metering pump (23) is free of steering stops (24).
Make sure the floor jack stays in position when the rear frame is moved.26. Put tooling (B) and the blocks back into position under the frame. 27. Remove bolts (26) and two bearing caps (27) from the rear frame. 28. Remove lip type seals (28) from the caps. 29. Install tooling (F) as shown. Remove the bearing and spacer from the rear frame. 30. Put tooling (G) in position and remove the collar from the rear upper frame. 31. Remove bolts (29) and block (30).32. Remove the bolt and disconnect cable assemblies (31). 33. Install tooling (H) and remove the bearing from the upper frame. 34. Remove lip type seals (32) from the front frame.35. Remove the retainer rings that hold bearing (33) in place. 36. Install tooling (J) and remove bearing (33) from the front frame.Connection Of Loader Main Frames
1. Install the top retainer ring in the bore. Use tooling (C) to install the bearing until it makes contact with the ring in the bore.2. Install the bottom retainer ring that holds the bearing in place. 3. Install the lip type seals with tooling (D). The top seal must be installed with the lip away from the bearing and even (flush) with the upper hitch boss. The bottom seal must be installed with the lip toward the bearing. 4. Use tooling (D) to install the lip type seal in cap (1). The seal must be installed with the lip up as shown. 5. Install the lip type seal in cap (2) with tooling (D). The seal must be installed with the lip down as shown.6. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease on the lips of the seals. 7. Put cap (2) in position on the rear frame.8. Lower the temperature of the bearings (3) and install in the bore. Use tooling (E) if necessary to install the bearing. 9. Put cap (1) in position and install four bolts at locations even spaces apart. Tighten the bolts opposite each other evenly until all bolts are tightened to a torque of 88 7 N m (65 5 lb.ft.). Make sure cap (2) is even with the frame.10. Use feeler gauge (4) to measure the gap between cap (1) and the frame at each bolt. Find the minimum thickness.11. Remove cap (1). Install shims of the minimum thickness found in Step 10. Install cap (1) and the bolts. 12. Install spacer (5) in the rear frame with the large diameter up. 13. Lower the temperature of the bearing race to - 62° 5°C (-80° 10°F) and install
