Start By:a. Install the steering frame lock pin. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock Pin - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced. Perform Step 1 of the following procedure to wheel steer machines only. 1. Remove four bolts (1) and the washers that hold steering wheel and boss assembly (2) to the steering metering pump. Remove steering wheel and boss assembly (2) from the cab. 2. Remove two bolts (3), the nuts and the washers that hold the front of the seat to the seat pedestal.3. Pull lever (4) upwards and move the seat all the way forward on the seat runners. 4. Remove two bolts (5) that hold the rear of the seat to the seat pedestal. 5. Attach Tooling (A) to three anchor points on seat assembly (6), as shown. Use the seat belt mounting brackets at the sides of the seat and the weight adjusting shaft at the front of the seat as the anchor points. Attach a hoist to Tooling (A).6. Using the hoist, carefully remove seat assembly (6) from the cab. The weight of the seat assembly is 43 kg (95 lb).Installation Procedure
1. Attach Tooling (A) to three anchor points on seat assembly (6), as shown. Use the seat belt mounting brackets at the sides of the seat and the weight adjusting shaft at the front of the seat as the anchor points. Attach a hoist to Tooling (A).2. Using the hoist, carefully install seat assembly (6) in the cab. The weight of the seat assembly is 43 kg (95 lb). 3. Install two bolts (5) that hold the rear of the seat to the seat pedestal. 4. Pull lever (4) upwards and move the seat all the way back on the seat runners.5. Install two bolts (3), the nuts and the washers that hold the front of the seat to the seat pedestal. Perform Step 6 to wheel steer machines only. 6. Put steering wheel and boss assembly (2) in position on the steering metering pump. Install four bolts (1) and the washers.End By:a.
