These engines are flushed with the mixture of ethylene glycol and vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) after the factory test.The engines are equipped with aftercoolers that are prone to freezing during shipment due to the design. The aftercoolers have a small area in the bottom that cannot be completely drained after the factory test. The aftercooler could freeze during shipment of the engine or during storage of the engine. This can cause the cooling fins of the aftercooler cores to fail.Engines that are equipped with the following aftercoolers are now flushed with the mixture:
